by Raegan on March 16th, 2017

Beyond a doubt millions of individuals want to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more well known "charming guys" of poker. Even though "nice" is associated with their names when you are at a poker table it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have put you out of the game!

Daniel Negreanu

In Two Thousand and Four, his competition winnings added up to more than 4.4 million dollars and he came away with 2 highly respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was appointed Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. He still has the humility to talk to his admirers about how they can boost their own game.

Howard Lederer

Called "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His achievements have lead to him making an educational poker video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also holding a tournament poker show for Fox. As of 2005, his complete life time winnings exceed $2.7 million.

Scotty Nguyen

Scotty is 1 of the most active players in professional poker and from Two Thousand to 2004 he finished in the money in well over one hundred tournaments. He’s notorious for saying "yeah baby" during poker games and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad defeat. As of 2006, his life time earnings are almost six million dollars.

Chris Ferguson

Chris has won five WSOP titles with two of his wins coming in 2003. Chris has the alias "Jesus" as a result of his characteristic long hair and beard, and is able to throw cards fast enough to slice through pickles and bananas. As of Two Thousand and Five his total live poker tournament earnings exceeded five million dollars.
