Mrs. Duke mightn’t have won her first WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but she remains one of the most powerful poker competitors at the live action matches at The Bellagio in Las Vegas. Annie’s longawaited WSOP bracelet came with a win at the "cast aside game" of Omaha high-low.

While players from the "younger generation" of poker go crazy after a huge win at the tables, Annie heads home to be "mom" to her four children. She grew up in New Hampshire and raised into a family of poker players. If you do not accept that, watch her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who coached her how to gamble on the game.

However, Mrs. Duke is no small-potatoes girl and has won her cut of challenging tables, which includes eliminating Howard a few times along the way. They are both players that have the ability to win the big bucks and do it with a smile.

Annie Duke is a strong competitor at any poker table considering that she is a legitimate poker player, but it’s a little more than just being good at the game. Annie is surprisingly smart and graduated from Columbia U where she double majored in Psychology and English.

When you sit across from Annie at the table you know Annie Duke is there to compete in the game and she starts "summing" you up from the time you sit down at the table. If you cannot play like a camp, then do not waste your time.

Acquiring over 3 million dollars in tournament competitions, Mrs. Duke became a consultant to both UltimateBet.com and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to hone his abilities and become a force at the poker table.

You might catch a glimpse of her at the Bellagio, you’ll definitely observe Annie on TV and you might even compete against her in a net poker game, but do not expect a simple win. Except of course you’re a camp-in-the-making, you’ll not beat her. Although, it would be fun to mention you sat at the same table as "The Duke".
