No-Limit Hold’em Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker player in the world by many of the top professionals. He was born in Riverside, CA and moved to Jersey before reaching the age of 1. His grandpa introduced him to penny-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was hooked on poker and wanted to discover whatever he possibly could about poker. Phil routinely would tell his elders that he was going to be a professional poker player. He did not allow the adverse comments from other people annihilate his goal of becoming one of the best poker players in the world.
Phil started playing seriously after acquiring a fake ID by the name of Jerome. He honed his game at the poker rooms in Atlantic City. The initial few years for Phil were a learning opportunity and winning was not a regular thing at the time. Phil became known at the 2000 WSOP when he achieved two final tables and came away with his 1st World Series of Poker bracelet, in a $2, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha match. At the last table he defeated a number of the well known pros including but not limited to "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
Phil decided to take his skills to the successive level and moved out west to Vegas. He continues to compete in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the best players on the planet. Ivey credits his achievements to dedication and an undying passion for poker. Phil says that he is picking up skills every single day and is quite humble about his achievements. Phil knows he makes errors every single session of poker and constantly aspires to get better.
Even though Ivey has come first in some large tournaments, he prefers winning money games on a normal basis.
