Double-hand Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the western in an excellent game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler versus the dealer, not like nearly all other poker games that players play with other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, beginner players don’t need to be concerned about any other, more advanced people winning their money.

One more Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game play, novices should be able to take their time and strategize without needing to make quick selections.

It is also much simpler to play for a long time with basically a little bit of money after all, to lose, both of your hands has to be under both of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the dealer gets seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one two card hand need to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand must be better than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the casino’s.
